20,000,000 women worked in factories and shipyards building the aircraft and equipment needed to win World War II.  Women also flew the aircraft from the factories to the bases and locations where the aircraft were needed. Clearly, without women the fighter pilots would not have had the aircraft they needed to become aces over Axis.
