5B9 Eyebolt is a North American Aviation Standard part. Per the North American drawing specifications, AirCorps Aviation has performed a magnaflux inspection on the available components.
For reference this Eyebolt is commonly seen in the wing tip area of the P-51 Mustang. This eyebolt is staked with an AN200K4 - BEARING - HEAVY DUTY BALL. The 5B9 was most commonly utilized and found on B/C Mustangs. The 5B9 was superseded by 5B14-2 - Eyebolt on July 2, 1943.
There are four of these units used on P-51 Mustangs. The four units are located at each of the outboard and inboard Aileron attach points on the wing assembly and wing tip assemblies
