This fitting is the mounting point for the tail wheel down position lock in the aft fuselage. It carries the lock shaft and spring-loaded lock pin that hold the tail wheel strut in the extended position. The assembly is bushed front and aft: 4B8R15 and 4B8R25 bushings in the front, and a 104-34533 lock shaft bushing in the rear. A NAS2 lubrication fitting is also part of the assembly.
