Type "AN" (Army-Navy Specifications) For radio, instruments, firewall, and general electric circuits in aircraft and other types of equipment. Four standard shell types, sizes 8S to 48. "AN" cable clamps, junction shells, dust caps, dummy receptacles, pressurized receptacles, bonding rings, and various special fittings.

| AN3100A Wall Mounting - Receptacle Type AN3100A wall mounting receptacles (Type RA) are used with conduit to eliminate the need for a conduit box in applications where wires are carried through walls or bulkheads. Mate with AN3106B, AN3107B, and AN3108B plugs. |
| AN3101B Cable Connecting - Receptacle Type AN3101B cable connecting receptacles (Type RP) are used for cable extension requirements where mounting provisions are unnecessary. Mate with AN3106B, AN3107B, and AN3108B plugs. |

Cannon Plug Contact Types

Type S - Socket Contact Type S socket contacts are designed to mate with Type P pin style contacts in the front, and are constructed with a solder cup in the back that will not leak through the front of the socket and prevent insertion of the pin contact. |
Type P - Pin Contact Type P pin contacts mate with the corresponding socket contact and are designed to resist severe vibration and repeated connections and disconnections encountered in service. |
