79HA1P-02 locks by deformed thread rather than a fiber or nylon insert, so there is no insert to age or crack and the part is rated to 450 F instead of the 250 F limit that applies to insert types. The 79HA1P-02 is the standard two lug plate nut used through the WWII era and it is still the workhorse shape for panel and access-cover attachment. The nut body sits between two flat lugs with the rivet holes in line, so it needs a straight run of flange or web to mount against.
