The AC811-BT is the coupling nut for the three-piece AC811 flared tube system (fitting, AC811-T sleeve and BT nut), the pre-AN Army Air Corps standard that AN fittings replaced during WWII. In the -2 size the AC811 and AN818 threads are both 5/16-24, and T.O. 00-25-29 allows the AC811 nut in place of an AN818 with either AN819 or AC811 sleeves. The reverse, an AN nut on an AC811 fitting, is not an approved combination.
